The Arcadia bird lamps have been developed in order to provide an artificial source of ultraviolet (UV) light, which is essential to captive birds denied exposure to direct sunlight. The use of a light source that mimics the natural UV content of sunlight has recognized health benefits, and provides birds with a more natural view of their surroundings, encouraging natural behavior and in many cases improved breeding results.

Please allow 5-8 minutes for these bulbs to warm up to full brightness. These bulbs brighten slowly so as not to startle and frighten your birds when they turn on.

Great products and service
In 2014, my bearded dragon had gotten metabolic disorder from a poor UVB bulb. I was a first-time dragon owner. I was recommended the Arcadia D3+ lamp by a very knowledgeable beardie owner. With proper care and the Arcadia lamp - she made a full recovery. I have been a fan ever since. My dragons thrive with these lamps (I purchase the T5-22in). However, it is not just the great products - but also the great service from Todd Goode, the Lightyourreptile.com owner. He has made a video to walk me through assembly instructions. I recently had a damaged product and he replaced it right away. Very easy to do business with and very supportive. I am also a parrot owner and have started purchasing the bird lamps for my girl. She seems to have perked up. There are no downsides to the products and service. Highly recommend!

Parrot seems attracted to light
I bought 2 20watt cfl and put on splitter off fan, as said it’s only been a few but parrot likes It. Sought ought out this German made brand

Best Light System
I can truly confirm that my Congo African Grey Parrot love this light. He gets 4 hours of this light every day. I can tell you that he really looks great, eats more fruits,vegetables and all his pellets. He is now happier than before because the UV light he is getting. The light fixture is easy to mount to any area to any cage you own. If you really love your parrot get this light you will see the positive results.
