This book is focussed on ectotherms of course, but we also take a journey into the core function of photosynthesis in plants and the role and certain limitations of LEDs in the modern day hobby. We also cover how lamps actually work, advances and limitations to tech and then how to fit the most appropriate system in order to cater for the core needs of a species. We have also included a shortened version of our online hugely popular online ‘lighting guide’, covering some of the most popular species. This book has some fantastic info that is all up to date, is hard to find good books that have to do with reptiles that isn’t old irrelevant or disproven info. John goes above and beyond to explain the evolution of these things in captivity and also the reasons behind them. While also making it clear that some things we still don’t know for sure. I love Johns ability to educate and also captivate audiences with his writing style. Only thing I would ask is for more pictures of your beautiful reptiles in the book haha.
